As I was wandering the grid, smacking MM boards for goodies, I landed at Timeless Textures. The owner, Xzavia Yifu, was on site and was kind enough to help us fill the chairs at the Sit n Win table. While there, I post into MM for Creators group chat and mention that I use the time waiting for additional people to appear to cam around and hit MM boards, do hunts and generally accomplish things rather than just staring into space. *chuckles* Xzavia mentioned that she has some hunts going on and offered me a couple of samples from a couple of her newer metal sets. Her 7 Deadly Sins hunt gift includes some wonderfully shiny silver metallic textures and there's matching gold and bronze available in the store. (Very reasonably priced. I paid 112 L$ for the coordinating set of 15 seamless gold textures.) Xzavia has been creating textures in SL for 5 years, and has good quality product. Come check her out!

Wow! A year almost!
Well, I suppose I should make a serious effort to get back to this. With a year gone there have been a few changes in my life and it's high time I started doing something about them, don't you think??
In that spirit, let me point out a couple of new things. One, I'm working on getting Ollies Follies shop open again. There are a few items already in the store and a series of Gacha machines should be out this week. Fall is here, so expect themed items to be popping up! All you Southern hemisphere folks won't be left out though, I'll be doing a series of spring and summer variations for you too! As soon as I get a few done I'll post pics to my flickr and link it here. I'm attempting to get some gacha items in for biggies, tinies, and petites so everyone can have some fun with this!
Any tinies or petites who would like to model for pics of products or give suggestions on items, feel free to contact Olliekins McAndrews in world. I'm just a poor neko so can't really pay you L$, but will be happy to trade products for your time. You test it out, the final product is yours.
I'll hopefully be getting back to wandering a little more this week. If you have a place you think I'd enjoy seeing, or want to see pictures of here, shoot me a message! While I might not be able to get to them all, I'm interested in seeing more of the grid again. I miss random wanderings with old friends. (See Ulani & Tholar... I haven't forgotten about you!) It's always more fun to roam with friends because they see things you might have otherwise missed!
So, it's back to building, back to the store work and here's an open invitation to come check out the stores in Elvenshire. I'll have a stall in the market hopefully next week, but for now you can come pick up the almost freebies in the SE Corner of the sim at Shiny Squirrel Shops! Once the New England Jam is over, maybe I can entice Kat into playing with some prims too and you'll get to see some goodies in Bella Moon too. Shaydin has been making a thing or three and I hope to see those in her shop as well. Ollies Follies and my bakery, Ollies Lollies, will both be getting new treats this week. I do believe it's cake time!!

Ever an Angel... one of my fave shops!
Another incredible Katana find, Ever an Angel ( http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Emerald%20Plain/152/196/23 ) has some incredible deals on BEAUTIFUL clothing! Right now, as I type, there's jeans (2 pair 100L$ and look close.. one's free!), skirts, a cardigan, and more on sale for 100L$. We're talking regular store stock, not some quickie low-quality items to bring in bargain hunters. I've purchased quite a few things at her store, love love love the blouses upstairs ( especially candace and rhapsody) the clara skirts are addictive, I want more! Make sure to at least smack the subscribo as Ever does freebies and sales very regularly. (She changes the store with the seasons, so major bargains to be had!) Be sure to check out "Grandma's Attic" to find a steady stream of freebies that change regularly too!
Katana was gracious enough to share a pic with me. She's wearing the Clara skirt and Chez Cropped Cardigan, both in Fern. (I know Clara is on sale right now.. I just bought one! GO!! SHOP!!)

As usual, the kittens went shopping. Katana took me to Fantasia Village Shops ( http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Auckland%20Island/140/123/21 ) to check out the goodies. There's some lovely clothing in the Fantasia main store and a quick run across the courtyard took me to the "FAKE" store where I found cute and very reasonably priced goodies. (Love the sari tops, skirts and boho skirts) Wouldn't you know it, I saw a SQUIRREL!!! and chased it back into the courtyard.... Photo op!
Katana said it was "gourdgeous" *snortles* Lots of poses to play with, so come shop and get a pic! MWAH!

Wow! It's been a while since I stumbled through here. High time I started this up again.
Welcome back to the travels of the formerly sleepless pixie, now emerged as a tigerish neko with tendencies to wander off without warning. (This is as good as you're likely to get.) I suppose I'll mention things I find interesting around the grid again and of course show you goodies from my shop on occasion.
Really, randomness and whimsey are the most appropriate words to describe my store's inventory. Whatever strikes my fancy is what gets made. Want something specific? Shoot me an IM in world and I'll do what I can! This week I think I'll be focusing on a new line of ID bracelets to be revealed here shortly.
Tomorrow's plans include a show at the Drunken Drow at 5 pm SLT with Taunter Goodnight. Her show is always fun and her powerful voice and naughty sense of humor make me look forward to seeing her any time! Join me:

Splashin around...
Well, it's been a while since I've braved the waters of blogging and I'm long overdue for a run through the surf. Many changes have happened and I'm not about to bother you with all the details, let's just get to what I'm doing now!
Yes, this is Ollie's Follies aka Pixie Can't Sleep... and while I was a full time pixie in SL for most of my life, I'm only part time pixie these days. Miss the wee green me? Come see me on Sundays at the Drow. I may not be green, but I'm definitely back to my old pixie self.. sorta. *snortles* I'm managing at the Drow officially, unlike the months I just "helped out" last year. The Italians take over the Drow on Sundays and keep me awake and dancing. Pop in and say hi.
Hrm, Mondays, I'm ALSO at the Drow and managing for Attilio Mersand's DJ gig at 5 ~ New theme and goodies weekly plus all the amazing dance worth tunes he can squeeze into his set ~ followed by a live musician at 7. Maxmillion Kleene, Steely Decosta, and Andreus Gustafson are the usual performers who take turns at 7pm. All are worth a listen. You can find us at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Elvenshire/135/93/23
Most importantly, I'm working with the "Dream to Live" RFL team this year. We're launching our official season this coming weekend at Elfstock ~ Elvenshire's annual celebration of the Drunken Drow (yeah I do a LOT with the Drow) and our first big fundraiser. If you're not familiar with RFL, check out the Dream to Live blog... I follow it especially since I write in it! With 2 days of live music, fun and games, Elfstock is sure to be a huge blast! Bring your friends and enjoy as the Elvenshire folks roll out the red carpet for the whole grid to come and party!
So, that's the basics. Learning to build (badly) writing as usual (also badly) and just keeping my butt out of trouble as much as I can. (Hush Tiggs) Catch me in world for a chat!

New (to me) musician ~ MJX8P Netizen ~ thanks Waya!!
Thanks to Waya Snowpaw, I ended up hearing a really good musician today!
MJX8P Netizen was performing at Sheik Yerbouti's club located in Ankh-Morpork and Waya was nice enough to ask if I'd like to come listen. I'm really glad I did! Playing an incredible blend of synth music, MJX8P and his smooth accent had all of us entranced as we danced in this lovely venue. Both are worth seeing!

Seems Ankh-Morpork is quite the fascinating location too! Called an "experience" it's regularly changing with lots to see and enjoy. Take a stroll through the streets and see the sights! The club it at 300M up so, don't let the lack of scenery outside fool you. I almost did!
Not to forget Waya Snowpaw! He's my favorite 4 footed DJ in SL. We Luff the Wuff! With his own venue as well as gigs all over SL, Waya brings a wide assortment of music coupled with his southern charm and great sense of humor to the DJ scene. I always have a great time when I get to catch a gig. Take some time and look him up.. you'll be glad you did! (And no, that's not from his bio, that's Ollie's opinion. Ah Luffs him!)
Off to the next piece of madness for this sleepless pixie...
